The Geelong Table Tennis Centre is an exciting venue with 33 tables of the highest quality with proper flooring and barriers. The centre is regarded as one of the best in Victoria!
The club has more than 150 members and pride itself on having members/players from all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities. The club is open for people looking to just play socially or competitively, we run different sessions/programs during the week (i.e. social sessions, coaching squads, private coaching lessons, junior sessions, pennant, and more) and always looking to accommodate everyone. The club’s mantra is “table tennis for everyone”.
The club typically hosts weekly competitions (we like to call them ‘pennants’) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. These competitions are exiting, and anyone can join. We have several levels/grades per pennant. These grades start with the very bottom grade mainly for beginners up to the very top A1 grade for advanced players.
The club is a non-for-profit organization and it is run by the committee members, volunteers and some casual contractors. The club has separate female and male bathrooms, change-rooms and showers. It also has an internal canteen, free internet for members, a water fountain and on-site car-parking. There is also a small spectator area and the front office. The club also sells table tennis equipment (i.e. bats, balls, cleaners, rubbers, sponges, and more)
The club usually starts normal activities by the first week of February and it finishes by the last week of November. However, usually there are some activities going on during this Christmas break (i.e. junior training camp, summer comps and private coaching lessons)
